(Considerada por la revista Nuebo n\u00ba10 febrero 2023, una de las 50 pel\u00edculas de culto del cine espa\u00f1ol).<\/p>\n<p>Su siguiente largometraje, El Rey de la Monta\u00f1a, protagonizado por Leonardo Sbaraglia y Mar\u00eda Valverde recibe el Gran Premio M\u00e9li\u00e8s de Cine Fant\u00e1stico Europeo de Plata en \u00c1msterdam, Mejor Actor, Mejor Actriz y Mejor Fotograf\u00eda en el Scream Fest de Los \u00c1ngeles.<br \/>\nEn 2010 recibe el Premio Eloy de la Iglesia en el Festival de Cine Espa\u00f1ol de M\u00e1laga que reconoce el trabajo de j\u00f3venes artistas cuya trayectoria se desv\u00eda de las normas establecidas.<\/p>\n<p>En 2011, producido por Weinstein Company, dirige Apollo 18, una pel\u00edcula de ciencia ficci\u00f3n de metraje encontrado con un presupuesto de 5 millones de d\u00f3lares sobre una misi\u00f3n secreta de la NASA a la Luna, que recauda en todo el mundo m\u00e1s de 25 millones de d\u00f3lares en taquilla. En 2013 termina Open Grave, protagonizada por Sharlto Copley, Thomas Kretschmann y Joseph Morgan y producida por Atlas Independent.<\/p>\n<p>En 2016, dirige The Hollow Point un potente western moderno protagonizado por Ian McShane, Patrick Wilson, James Belushi, Lynn Collins y John Leguizamo. Tres a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, dirige Backdraft 2, producido por Raffaella De Laurentiis, y algunas producciones televisivas, como N\u00e9boa, para televisi\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola.<\/p>\n<p>En 2022 repite con Ian McShane como protagonista, y dirige American Star, una producci\u00f3n europea independiente de Aqu\u00ed y All\u00ed Films y EMU Films.<\/p>\n<p>Entre 2021 y el verano de 2023 rueda La sombra del tibur\u00f3n, un proyecto inclasificable que se mueve entre lo experimental y lo fant\u00e1stico. Pel\u00edcula de producci\u00f3n propia muy personal, con un peque\u00f1o elenco de actores y, &#8211; exceptuando la banda sonora de Remate -, sin equipo t\u00e9cnico.
